How it works

Three taps, one beam.

No pairing menus, no cables to find, no sign-up. Open the app on both devices and send.

  1. Open Zapdrop on both devices

Join the same WiFi, or turn on one phone's hotspot. Nearby devices pop up on your radar with their name and avatar.

  2. Pick what to send

Photos, videos, files, a folder, contacts or a note. Then tap the bubble of the device you want to send to.

  3. Match the code and zap

Both screens show the same 4-digit code. The other person taps Accept, and everything flies across at full WiFi speed, checked file by file.

Not showing up? One phone shows a QR code and the other scans it. The pairing code works once and expires after 5 minutes.

Sending to a computer? It needs nothing installed, only a browser. See how it works.

Everything it carries

One app for every hop.

From a single photo to a whole phone's worth of memories, at the speed of your WiFi.

Phone to phone, any brand

iPhone to Android, Android to iPhone, and every pair in between. Both people just need Zapdrop.

To any computer, nothing to install

Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook. Type the address your phone shows into a browser, enter the PIN, then drag files in or download what you share.

Photos and videos, untouched

Originals leave exactly as they were taken, with their date, camera details and location. Live Photos travel as their photo and video pair.

Sending to Android or a PC? Turn on HEIC to JPG.

Whole folders

Send a folder in one go, subfolders and all. From a computer, drag a folder onto the page.

Contacts

Pick the people to share. They arrive as contact cards that the other phone adds with one tap.

Text, links and clipboard

Send a link, an address or a note. On a computer, the clipboard box works both ways.

Move to a new phone

A guided move picks photos by album or date, videos, contacts and files, then sends them in a queue that survives interruptions.

Resumes, and checks every file

If the WiFi drops, Zapdrop carries on from where it stopped. Every file is verified with SHA-256, so what arrives is identical to what left.

Right from the share sheet

In Photos, Files or any other app, tap Share and pick Zapdrop. Big transfers show live speed and time left.

Private by design

Your files never leave your network.

Zapdrop has no cloud and no servers. Your devices talk to each other directly, and nothing is ever sent to us.
